" To your firm's credit the part filled and packed very well at the first mold trial. The simulation not only predicted the fill pattern correctly but gave a very accurate fil time as well."

- Lucent Technologies

Process simulation eliminates costly trial and error methods and provides a tool to evaluate gate size and location, determining injection pressure and clamp force requirements; optimizing wall thickness to achieve uniform filling , predicting weld line locations; identifying potential air traps; and many other important issues that can impact part moldabitity.

Molding problems MoldFill Analysis can solve?

MPI Fiber: predicts fiber orientation in fiber-filled materials and the resultant mechanical strength of the plastic fiber composite. The simulations help reduce shrinkage variations across the molded part to minimize or eliminate part warpage.

MPI/3D: provides 3D simulations on thick-walled parts. For thick solid geometry, 3D simulation is required to determine gate location and establish exactly where weld lines will form and air traps with occur. All velocities, pressures, temperatures, flowfront positions and heat transfer effects are computed in three dimensions. Fill/pack/cool/warp and fiber orientation is possible.
