Tell us about your Company. What services do you offer?

CAE Services has been providing plastic consulting engineering services since 1981. We offer the following services.

  • Structural Analysis
  • MoldFlow Analysis
  • Packing Analysis
  • MoldCool Analysis
  • Warpage Analysis
  • Injection Compression
  • Gas
  • 3D
  • Co-Injection
  • 2 Shot

Tell us about your facility . . .

We have numerous workstations running Moldflow, ADINA, and other process simulation programs. Our corporate facility has (3) molding machines ranging form 80-500 tons for analysis implementation, mold sampling, and process training.

Is your staff Moldflow Certified?

Yes, our staff is Silver Certified.

What information is required for a quotation?

- IGES, STEP, Catia or Pro-E files
- Material data , grade & supplier
- Analysis objectives
- Timeline

How long does it take to generate a quotation?

Upon receipt of proper data, part geometry, material type, and analysis objectives, we can promptly provide budgetary pricing within hours and a detailed quotation within 1-2 days after receipt of all the required information.

Can you provide "typical pricing"?

Price is base upon part complexity and analysis objectives. If pricing is required please review the information required per our Moldflow Quote Request Form.

How have existing customers justified your consulting services?

- Elimination of costly trial-and-error methods
- Material selection
- Identifying part design issues
- Reduced cycle times
- Reduced mold de-bug
- Material savings
- Elimination of shrink fixtures
- Lack of expertise in running the Moldflow software

How long have you been providing engineering services?

In the 1970's, we pioneered MoldCool analysis technology. We have been providing Moldflow and Cooling analysis services on a consulting basis since 1981. Today we offer a complete range of engineering services from structural analysis through warpage analysis.

What is required to start an analysis?

  • Finalized part model
  • Material type
  • Mold prints (if available)
  • Processing conditions
  • Confirmation of analysis objectives
  • Purchase order

How can we send data?

Methods of transfer:

File Types: (In order of preference)

  • IGES (trimmed surfaces)
  • Pro/E part file (*.prt)
  • STEP (*.stp)
  • Parasolid (*x_t)
  • Key Creator Solid (CADKEY)
  • Unigraphics (.prt)
  • CATIA v4 (.model, .exp)
  • Solidworks (.SLDPRT)
  • IGES
  • Autocad (*.dxf)
  • Autocad (*.dwg)
  • CADKEY

How long does it take for an analysis to be completed?

Depending upon part complexity and existing workload, a typical analysis can be completed within 2-3 working days and up to 7-10 days if cooling and warpage analysis is required. In most instances, the analysis will not delay the mold manufacturing process. In many cases, while the analysis is being completed, steel can be cut for the core and cavity. Gate, runner and cooling designs can be incorporated after the analysis has been completed.

When an order is placed for an analysis, what information is provided?

Each analysis is unique with varying objectives. For each of the following analysis types will include a summary section that includes a statement of the analysis objectives, and recommended modifications to the part design or mold design. Cooling circuiting diagrams can be provided as well. A set-up sheet for the recommended processing conditions is also included.

Our final reports will consist of the following;

Flow Analysis

Packing Analysis

Flow Analysis

Warpage Analysis
